78 cards ยท prints to two sheets
Tarot card meanings chart
Every card in the deck on one page, with up to three keywords, a line for upright, a line for reversed, and the yes or no leaning both ways. It is built to be printed: the navigation, the card images, and the color all drop away when you send it to a printer, and the whole seventy-eight land on two sheets. Nothing to download and no email address to hand over.
A chart is a different tool from a meanings page, and worth being clear about. This one is for having beside you while you are learning the deck or while a spread is on the table. The reason behind any row is on that card's own page, and every row links to it.
Use your browser's print command, or save it as a PDF from the same dialog.

A keyword is a handle
The three words beside each card here are a way of finding the card again. The Five of Pentacles reduced to "hardship, exclusion, want" is a label you can recognize across a table. The card holds far more, and a reading built from labels comes out as a string of adjectives with no argument in it.
The failure this produces is specific and common. Somebody learns the deck from a chart, gets fluent at naming all seventy-eight, lays out a spread and finds they have nothing to say, because a keyword carries none of the reason behind it. The reason is in the picture. The Five of Pentacles is about exclusion because two people are passing a lit window in the snow and not going in, and once you have seen that you never need the keyword again.
How to use this while a spread is on the table
The order matters more than people expect. Look at the card and say what is in it before you look anything up: who is there, what they are holding, where they are looking, whether anything is moving. Then use the row to check you have not lost the thread. Reading the chart first produces a reading assembled out of other people's words, and you can hear it when it happens.
The reversed column is the one to treat most carefully. A reversal is a condition rather than a negation, and a chart flattens that into a phrase by necessity, which is the one place this format misleads. The four conditions a reversal usually describes, and how to tell which is in play, are in reversed tarot cards.
Printing it
Print from your browser. On the way to paper this page drops its header, footer, navigation, the card images and the waitlist, turns black on white to save a cartridge, and asks for landscape, which is what gets all seventy-eight rows onto two sides: five columns in portrait wrap every meaning onto a second line and cost most of a third sheet. If your print dialog still shows portrait, set it to landscape yourself. The same dialog will save it as a PDF if you would rather keep it on a device, which is why there is no separate download here to go stale.
If you want the chart on a wall rather than in a folder, print it one-sided and the two sheets sit next to each other as the Major Arcana and the four suits. That is also the split the deck itself uses, and it is the fastest way to see how lopsided it is: twenty-two cards for the large forces and fifty-six for the ordinary days.
Common questions
- Is there a printable tarot cheat sheet for all 78 cards?
- This page is one. It lists all 78 cards in deck order with up to three keywords, a one-line upright meaning, a one-line reversed meaning, and the yes or no leaning both ways, and it carries a print stylesheet that drops the navigation, the images, and the color so the whole deck fits on two sheets of paper. Print it from your browser. There is no download, no email address, and no PDF to chase.
- What is the difference between a tarot chart and a meanings page?
- A chart is for learning the deck and a meanings page is for understanding one card. The chart gives you every card at once in a few words each, which is what you want next to a spread when you have four cards down and cannot remember which of them is the one about waiting. A meanings page gives one card in about 1,400 words, which is what you want afterwards. The keyword on a chart is a handle for finding the meaning again.
- Should I memorize tarot card meanings from a chart?
- Not from the keywords, no. People who learn the deck from a keyword list end up able to recite 78 words and unable to read a spread, because the keyword carries none of the reason behind it. The chart is most useful as a prompt while you are looking at the picture: read what is in the illustration first, then use the row to check you have not lost the thread. The reason lives on the card pages, and every row here links to one.
- Why does the chart show only three keywords per card?
- Because a longer list stops being scannable, which is the only thing a chart is for. Three is enough to recognize a card you half remember and few enough to take in at a glance while you are holding a spread in your head. If three is not enough, the row links to a page with the full upright and reversed meanings, the symbolism read off the illustration, and what the card says in love, career, and money.
A chart is the shortest version of this deck and the card pages are the long one. All seventy-eight are in tarot card meanings, split into Major Arcana and Minor Arcana. If the yes or no column is what you came for, yes or no tarot gives every card's leaning with the reasoning attached, and reversed tarot card meanings does the same for the reversed column. If you are learning the deck from scratch, tarot for beginners is the order to do it in, and how to read tarot is what to do once more than one card is down.
There is also a page on what Reflecta is, if the waitlist is a step too early.
